Sedona Lakes Municipal Utility District No. 1 of Brazoria County (the “District”) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas created for the purpose of providing water, sanitary sewer, and drainage facilities, park facilities, and road facilities to the land within its boundaries, operating pursuant to Chapter 8305 of the Texas Special District Local Laws Code, Chapters 49 and 54 of the Water Code and Article XVI, Section 59 and Article III, Section 52 of the Texas Constitution. In addition, the District is subject to the continuing supervision of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “TCEQ”).
To carry out its purposes, the District has implemented a stormwater management program and works with a storm water consultant, Stormwater Solutions, to reduce the pollutants discharged into the District’s stormwater system.
Enclosed with your bill is an educational pamphlet and survey, prepared by Stormwater Solutions, that describes ways in which individuals can reduce chemicals, waste and other pollutants from entering the District’s stormwater system. The pamphlet also includes a QR Code for a survey about stormwater pollutants for customers to complete.
The District appreciates your cooperation in its mission to reduce stormwater pollution.
Thank you,
Board of Directors
